About this audiobook
The year is 2044. The German Occupation Authority has held the United States in a tyrannical grip for the past 100 years, ever since the Nazis emerged victorious in World War II. Loner rebel, Scott Hanover hates the GOA for destroying his family, and regularly defies its harsh rule. Jailed for general crimes against the state, he awaits execution in a New Mexico prison. Then one day, Hanover is given the chance to "escape". There is, however, a price to pay for his freedom. Hanover must travel back in time to 1944 to thwart the plans of the Nazis. But there are GOA police on his tail, and one man in particular who will stop at nothing to see Hanover dead. The task is impossible, and no one expects Hanover to come back alive. Can he survive the Timegate and change the course of history? In the end, it is Hanover alone who must risk everything to claim a new future for America.

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Well written and well read, but unimaginative and uninspiring. A nice story about a man's journey but the time travel aspect doesn't really work here.

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I got 48 seconds into the book and realized I would not be able to listen to it. The story sounds awesome but hearing the guy take a breath after every sentence kinda destroys the illusion
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I really enjoyed this book. The concept isn’t new but it’s a solid story and the adventure kept me going. I really liked the main character and found the contemplation this character has regarding the difference between his time and that of 1944 to be interesting. My only complaint is the very unrealistic love story that got tacked on the end. I felt this was a cop out and finding a conclusion without this would have been much better. Regardless I won’t drop my rating solely based on that being my only complaint.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Well written, but no real surprises or suspense to speak of.
