About this audiobook

Just a second. That was all it took. In that second Anita Sherwood sees the face of the young boy in the window of the bus as it stops at the curb...and she knows it is her son. The son who had been kidnapped two years before. The son who had never been found and who had been declared legally dead. But now her son is alive. Anita knows it in her heart. She is certain that the boy is her son, but how can she get anyone to believe her? She'd given the police leads before that ended up going nowhere, so they're not exactly eager to waste much time on another dead end on a dead case. It's going to be up to Anita, and she'll stop at nothing to get her son back.

Absolutely wonderful read, I do feel the ending was rushed. All in all a great book.

The story was good, but it was SO DRAWN OUT!! It got to the point of being just plain boring. It could have been a 4 hour book! I didn't think it would ever end!

On the surface, the Sherwoods had it all. Perfect marriage, perfect 2-yr-old son, perfect life. Both Dennis and Anita had great jobs and were fortunate enough to have found the perfect nanny through a friend of theirs. But perfect does not exist, as they would soon find out. After returning home from a night out, Dennis and Anita suddenly found their world turned upside down. The nanny and little Tim were gone, vanished, leaving no clues as to where they might be. After being eliminated as suspects themselves and having their lives intruded upon by the media, the nanny's body and Tim's teddy bear were finally found, washed up on the craggy rocks of the Oregon coastline.Returning home to an empty house and an empty crib proved to be too much for the grieving parents. Anita tried returning to work, but was unable to move past the grief. Dennis found solace in the bottle. Their marriage soon crumbled and Dennis moved out.Anita could not accept the fact that Tim was gone. No body was recovered, so there was always hope. Could he still be alive? If so, where would he be and who would be caring for him? After two years of unrelenting grief and doubt, Anita would finally be able to close this chapter of her life. But it's not the answer you would expect.Brian Pinkerton carries you through every twist and turn in this riveting story of a mother's undying love and a father's crazed plot. You will find yourself holding your breath throughout. I read this in one sitting, unable to put it down. It took everything within me not to read ahead!
