About this audiobook

New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author Diana Palmer is back with a thrilling story featuring the Kirk brothers of Wyoming

Former border agent Dalton Kirk thought his life was over—literally—when a gang of smugglers left him for dead. Defying all odds, he survives his ordeal and returns to his Wyoming ranch ready to dedicate his future to a more peaceful home on the range. Until lovely Merissa Baker knocks on his door.

Merissa is well aware of her reputation as the local eccentric—she knows things before they happen—and she’s had a vision that Dalton is in danger. Even though her beliefs clash with Dalton’s cowboy logic, she’s determined to save the handsome rancher she’s secretly loved forever.

Visions? It’s all ridiculous to Dalton…until things start happening that prove Merissa right. And now Dalton is not the only target—so is Merissa. Can Dalton be bold enough to trust the unknown? Is this Wyoming man ready to love?

“Palmer demonstrates, yet again, why she’s the queen of desperado quests for justice and true love.” —Publishers Weekly on Dangerous

Just didn't work for me. Why ?
Merissa and Tank instantly fall in love, insta-love. There are no real obstacles the romantic chase is not there. A virginal, outcast.- Sigh-There were so many side characters I was over whelmed and miffed that the main couple spent so little time with each other. The suspense was flat line.
I love the cover, it is beautiful. I just did not care for the story inside. The idea of the two characters was unique but never panned out as I hoped. I must admit I have not read any of the other books in this series so I can't compare them. This is also my first time reading this author.

Wyoming Bold by Diana PalmerDalton Kirk has retired from being a border guard and is settling down on his family ranch where he lives with others in the family and their spouses and children.Marissa designs websites and has visions of Dalton being hurt and now her life is in danger also. She's always loved Dalton. She tells him of things he had forgotten about and gives him hints on how to protect others that work on the ranch. Some do come true and he tracks down the sheriff in TX and they have some of the same memories. Dalton puts in surveillance cameras and now he has fears they are the enemy after all...lots of action, adventure, mystery, sex scenes and drug lords, conflicts... what an ending, can't wait for the next book...I received this book from National Library Service for my BARD (Braille Audio Reading Device).

Diana Palmer fans will enjoy getting to know Dalton Kirk and Merissa Baker while visiting with familiar characters from her previous books. While it can be read as a standalone, this book carries on and wraps up some of the mysteries from Palmer's previous books. A light, relaxing read. Review based on an ARC received from NetGalley.

In a nutshell: girl has visions, warns boy, boy is skeptical, but decides she's not a complete fruitcake. Killer stalks them both. They fall in love & live happily every after. A paisley shirt figures heavily.Borrow, don't buy, unless you simply must purchase everything Palmer's ever written. In which case, I'd recommend hunting down some of her earlier stuff instead! This one isn't completely awful, it just suffers from the same affliction as most of Palmer's recent work. It's as if she simply HAS to tie every single character to a myriad of other characters, so there's all this name-dropping and six degrees of separation stuff going on. It distracts (and detracts) from what otherwise wouldn't be a fabulous story, but would at least be more readable.

4 STARSI love the cover of the book. The Mystery of the book starts right off the bat. A knock at back door middle of snow storm warns him his life is in danger because she saw it in a vision. The drama, suspense, action keep going strong through out the whole book. Your not quite figured out who is after Dalton. The secondary characters are a lot of familiar faces that fans of Diana Palmer's have met before in previous book. Especially the ones in Texas.Dalton Kirk was ambushed and left for dead. Now it seems he is a target someone wants taken out for what information he has forgotten. At least that is what a local physic says.Merissa Baker has been called witch and has been made fun of her whole life because she sometimes sees visions of the future. Her mom before her has the same talent but not as strong. She has walked in a snow storm to warn Dalton and she knew facts about him that she should not know. Some of the things she tells him proves pretty fast that she does see the future sometimes.Dalton starts to fall for Merissa pretty fast. He hints to her but does not want to move to fast. Now someone wants to hurt Merissa because of things she knows and because Dalton cares for her.Dalton calls in a company to add security cameras around the ranch but he feels something is off with the worker. He calls Rourke a contact he has to come up and help with security. He was right his ranch was bugged. It is very fast paced book. It also leaves you wanting to read the next book in the series to get more answers. There is a couple of love scenes that I skipped over and some violence. The setting of the book happens in Texas and Wyoming as they try and figure out how two different cases are connected. They know they are through Merissa visions.I was given this ebook to read and asked if I would give honest review in exchange by Netgalley and Harlequin.publication: October 29th 2013 by Harlequin HQN 352 pages ISBN 9780373777242

I just could not get into this book. I felt it sounded like a great premise, but I just didn't get into it and felt it was written in a disjointed way. Maybe it was just me but as I was reading I had to stop and reread sentences because they seemed as if they were either out of order or just didn't belong. And I didn't get the attraction between the two MCs. Having only interacted with each other twice Dalton is already thinking about love and marriage? And I get that everybody thinks she was a witch but I got tired of reading about curdled milk. Just nothing in this book was believable to me from the chameleon agent to gold-plated toilet paper holders or putting a band-aid on a snake. Just silly stuff in what could've been a better book. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC.
