About this audiobook

The sexy follow-up to Unidentified Redhead from USA TODAY bestselling author Alice Clayton is a magical mix of humor and heatso cuddle up under the sheets; Grace and Jack are at it again!

LONG-DISTANCE LOVE JUST GOT HOTTER!

Life is sweet. Grace Sheridan has just won her dream role in a new off-Broadway play, and the talented hunk flooding her phone with scintillating texts and scandalous photos is Jack Hamilton, the twenty-four-year-old “it” Brit whose Hollywood career is about to climax faster than . . . you know. So what if their steamy relationship is bicoastal and under wraps, or that L.A. fangirls are grabbing Jack’s ass?

Absence does make the heart grow fonder and the libido hotter, but their few weekend visits feel more more like fast food than the five-course dinner they crave. And then—the creator of Grace’s new show is the man who broke her heart back in college, and he seems to have written the play just to make amends with his leading lady.

As rumors spread that Jack and his lovely, leggy ex-girlfriend have gotten back together, Grace starts to wonder about her own feelings. Can lust alone keep our favorite, feisty duo together, or will Grace find herself back in safer, more familiar arms?

I am not sure this series would not have worked better as one book instead of three. They are short and sexy and sweet and lots of fun. There is a lot here in Book 2 that is not perfect but sometimes I don't need perfect. Overall I really enjoyed this, especially the focus on friendships and their importance and the focus on friendship within a romantic relationship (which was not a thing in the last book where there was nothing but sex and quips.) Just easy fun.

I loved this series. Grace rocks! I envy her! Jack is heart stopping and panty melting! I'm not even going to write a whole review with quotes and a recap. No need. The best! Read it!

I loved this one , I jumped right into this one from Book 1 , thank god I did to because I was left wondering in book 1 !!!!! Another Brilliant Book By Alice Clayton for sure .

As their careers catch fire, Grace and Jack -- everyone’s favorite foul-mouthed, funny, and feisty couple -- find themselves on opposite coasts. Grace has landed in New York City, where she loves being onstage again, particularly because she’s playing a fabulous character in a musical written by her old college flame, Michael. Their rekindled friendship makes exploring the city that much more fun.

    Wait, it’s just friendship, right?

Meanwhile, in L.A., Jack can scarcely keep up with the swirling throngs of women who track him everywhere he goes, the endless press appearances, and the ridiculous rules his manager, Holly, keeps concocting for him -- all part of the buildup to the release of Time, his steamy new film.

    Thank goodness for phone sex.

But even when their schedules allow them to connect, Grace and Jack must keep their relationship off the radar and away from paparazzi cameras. Sure, the sex is sensational, but can this duo survive swirling rumors, the demands of their chosen professions, Grace’s raging internal battles, and a whopping nine-year age difference?

Tick-tock, the clock is ticking. Isn’t it?

Alice Clayton brings the second installment of a tale told with her magical mix of humor and heat, so cuddle up under the sheets and flip on the Golden Girls. Grace and Jack are at it again

"He was everything I’d ever wanted, and everything I hadn’t even known I needed.”

This one Had me a little nervous through part of it , I truly thought for a minute that Crazy girl was gonna do something really stupid .... but in the end it all worked out for the best and I was very very happy with the outcome ...

I laughed my fool head off some more with Mr. Brit and Crazy Girl and I truly love the nicknames every character has for each other ....

“I assigned him to help me trim the Brussels sprouts, but instead he kept trying to throw them away when he thought I wasn’t looking.
“Brussels sprouts, Grace, really? These are our friends. Why are you doing this to them?”

I can not wait to see what Book 3 Brings , and I am VERY happy that this one did not leave off on any major cliffhanger * sigh Of relief*

If you have not checked out Alice Clayton yet , YOU MUST she truly is a gifted witty writer and she will surely make you laugh your butt off .....

Update as of April 19, 2013. Just want to publicly state that since reading this book (in mid 2011) I have had to make a decision about my personal opinion on pulling fanfiction to publish for money. And I have come down on the side of Not Okay. Hard. This book came out before the Twilight fanfiction fandom exploded with greed.

This practice has broken the fandom in two, and it has broken long-standing friendships into pieces.
I will not change my original review, because I *did* feel all those emotions.

Sadly it would have made SO much more sense if I had read it about Edward and Bella.

ETA: It has been brought to my attention that, apparently, this may not have been twilight fanfiction originally (before being pulled to publish in this form), but the even creepier variation of Real People Fiction, starring Robert Pattinson and an original character, which makes me REALLY happy I never read the original fic, and only marginally happier that what I read had been cleansed with that specific atrocity.

    Original review:
Better than the first? hell yeah. Ended with a teaser for next book? you bet. Am I going to buy the next one? why, of course.
This is seriously fun, sexy and happy, with a twinge of sad and confused thrown in for good measure. Just like life is. (Only we should all be so lucky as to meet a Jack Hamilton, huh?)
I notice I keep going back over some chapters in my mind, giggling a bit, or thinking a bit more about the *godawful* life our celebs have.
So, excellent book. Fun and witty. Well written, with flowing sentences that never promises anything they do not later deliver.
    Great. Fun. Alice!!!
    thanks

The Redhead Revealed picks up right where we left off. Grace is now fully settled in New York and working on her off-Broadway debut while Jack of course is busy promoting his film, Time. Alice Clayton does a fantastic job with book 2. Book series are hard to write because an author must be able to get a new reader caught up and at the same time not overwhelm series readers with information they already know.Of course with every relationship comes with baggage. I honestly can’t imagine dating a celebrity. If dating someone outside that industry is difficult enough, I can’t imagine dealing with a celeb’s entourage, paparazzi, tabloids, and fans. We see Grace deal with it as best as possible especially when he’s featured on TMZ, etc. In one scene she’s explaining how she sees Jack at least once a week on TV and he explains how some fan came out of nowhere and tried to kiss him. Grace being Grace asks that oh so very important question of kissing her and Jack being Jack says he didn’t kiss her. Clayton could have taken the easy way out and not addressed the trust issues at hand when it comes to being and dating a celebrity, but she does it in true form. We feel Jack’s frustration at having his privacy invaded and we feel Grace’s anxiety at dating Hollywood’s “it boy.” One of my favorite scenes involves one of Grace’s cast members and she’s showing Grace a picture of Jack Hamilton. Grace trying to explain Jack is just comical, “ ‘What about your boyfriend?’ I heard a sexy voice behind me, with a distinctly British accent. My eyes grew wide as I slowly turned, now realizing what Leslie meant. Holy shit, Jack Fucking Hamilton.”It also doesn’t help that there is an age difference between them and Grace realizing that Jack has a “hot” career. I applaud Clayton for dealing with the age issue. I often wonder if men who date younger women ever feel inferior. Do they ever wonder if Candy will leave him for somebody her own age? I love that Clayton dealt with this issue and made it as realistic is possible as well as Grace’s own insecurities. One of my favorite lines is from Jack as he tells Grace, “So if you think for a second I’m going to let you end this without giving me a legitimate reason, you are truly crazier than I thought. I’m in this thing with you, a willing participant, and you can’t decide for both of us. Not anymore.” What makes Redhead Revealed such a treat is that both characters evolve and grow separately and as a couple. Favorite characters from The Unidentified Redhead make an appearance and we are introduced to some new ones as well including Jack’s family. The wise and snarky advice Holly often gives Grace is still there and of course we can count on Holly to deliver a much needed dose of medicine to Grace. While The Redhead Revealed is funny, it still is an emotional roller coaster. Clayton gives us that raw sensation of what it feels like to be in a long distance relationship and we see two people who clearly love each other struggle to make it work. As a reader you are wondering what could go wrong and cheering for them to work it out. Throw in people from the past and what could have been, you are left feeling the inner turmoil. How many of us wish we had a second chance of what could have been? Alice Clayton leaves me wishing book 3 was ready, but more importantly? She leaves me wanting to have someone of my own so I too can call him George and Sweet Nuts.

If you have not read The Unidentified Redhead stop here. This review is for The Redhead Revealed and we don’t want to prematurely identify that redhead for you, do we? I love this series, so you will want to go back and start this crazy ride from the beginning. This book is the second in The Redhead Series, which takes us to the bright lights of New York City as Grace begins her show on stage, written and directed by her former college crush we met in book one, Seth. Jack is in California. See where we’re headed with this? Most of this book surrounds the struggles and trials of a long distance relationship of two people that still make you laugh out loud and boggle your mind with how they keep things “fresh” while apart. Grace is thriving in her new role and the friendship she had with Seth is picking up where they left off. Left off as in awkward finally finding out they both had crushes on each other and dealing with their one night stand together from back then. Needless to say, Seth hasn’t lost interest in the sexy, funny redhead and Grace begins to wonder the “what ifs.” Yeah, you heard me. GRACE begins to WONDER the “what ifs” of life withOUT Jack. I know, I know…stupid girl! (You must say this in Jack’s British accent, it has more emphasis.) Side note: To me, Jack has the best lines and delivery in both books of any male character I’ve read: “What are you doing lying on the floor while your house is burning down, crazy?” That man can call me crazy anytime!Miles away, Jack of course, handles everything in stride. He is as loving and attentive as a boyfriend can be on the other side of the country. He is in the middle of promoting his movie, so trips to New York are a bonus. The problem arises when Grace’s insecurities start to set in and she begins to wonder if Jack shouldn’t be with someone younger, more “his league.” OK, OK, I know the feminists here are all “What? More his league? He’s lucky to have her!” I agree. But, keep in mind; this is Grace having issues, not Jack. And I will admit, I understand her reservations and questioning, and the moping, and the “what ifs”, especially when she begins to wonder maybe she might want to be a mother after all and is that fair to Jack? She does have ten years on him. So, I get it. However, this is a book and we know exactly what Jack is thinking, so the whole time you just want to smack Grace upside the head and say, “SNAP OUT IT!” The emotions in this book run deep, I won’t lie. I cried, my stomach got in knots, I laughed, I was annoyed, you name it. The beauty of this? Alice Clayton made me cry, put my stomach in knots, made me laugh, and annoyed me. Er…you know what I mean; she made me feel annoyed through her characters. Her writing style is conversational and fluid. I wasn’t told how to feel, I was just along for the ride with Grace and Jack…and Seth. I still championed for things to work out between Grace and Jack, and oh man, will you love the blow outs and make-ups. I was impressed with Jack’s level of maturity in this book, and Grace’s growth. There is one scene in the book where dear Ms. Clayton leaves a things bit open, but with some slight innuendos of Jack possibly doing something I REALLY wanted to know if he did (can’t tell you, it would ruin it for YOUR experience reading it.) So, I asked her in a tweet, “Did Jack actually….or just….?” Do you know what her response was? Something like a*smile*or *grin* Ohhhh, I see where Grace gets her cheekiness. To this day, I still want to know! Of course, anyone who has seen me tweet about Alice Clayton or The Redhead Series knows I’m crazy about these books. I won’t bore you with how much I recommend them for a funny, emotional, and hot read. There’s just no point telling you how involved I got in their love, their fights, their musings, their stupidity, and eventual growth. No way am I going to waste your time talking about the witty quips and banter in this book, and how believably cool the characters are, and how I want to collect them in real life as friends. Just no point, everyone should know how I feel about The Redhead Series by now. I will leave you with this, my newest hope from this series…Grace’s friend Holly develops a very interesting love “situation” of her own and drops all kinds of hints that maybe there will be more of the coolest bff ever?
