About this audiobook
Eckhart Tolle
Spiritual teacher and author Eckhart Tolle was born in Germany and educated at the Universities of London and Cambridge. At the age of twenty-nine a profound inner transformation radically changed the course of his life. The next few years were devoted to understanding, integrating, and deepening that transformation, which marked the beginning of an intense inward journey. Later, he began to work in London with individuals and small groups as a counselor and spiritual teacher. Since 1995 he has lived in Vancouver, Canada. Eckhart Tolle is the author of the New York Times bestsellers The Power of Now (translated into 33 languages) and A New Earth, which are widely regarded as two of the most influential spiritual books of our time. In 2008, A New Earth became the first spiritual book to be selected for Oprah's Book Club as well as the subject of a ten-week online workshop co-taught by Eckhart and Oprah.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I enjoyed the elemental aspect of it. It's extremely easy to listen to (or read) and follow along without having to read the same line multiple times (referencing Sartre here lol). I think it would be good to read or introduce this to children (maybe paraphrase some) because many of the explanations are analogies in simple concept forms. Recommended.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Having read the power of now which I loved but is over 7h long, this is a great book to listen and get some of the key parts of the longer version, I’ll still listen both over and over but I appreciate having this shorter version available.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Great book for self recognition , it helps you realize the thinking tricks to keep you sad, angry, fearful. This book greatly explains the conception of time and our thinking travel through it to the past or future consequences.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is probably the best single book that I’ve ever come across. Although all teachers come to spirituality from their own point of view.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is a life changing book;
Actually, Eckhart Tolle assists in one's spiritual awakening, but only if you understand the truths he is saying. If you find this "boring", it's probably because you are not conscious with your present self.
Because of his awareness, I am now becoming more aware within myself, because it is my decision to try to change my subconscious pattern of thinking.1 person found this helpful

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5An excellent and essential practical application to being present. I will return to this book for guidance from time to time to remind me of what is truly important to living a life of peace. Eckhart Tolle is amazing at demystifying the personal spiritual journey, helping us all to learn and grow. A much-needed, and appreciated listen.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Amazing !! Insightful !! And truth !!! Love it .
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I liked the book. When I read The Power Of Now, it helped me to release my past. This book made me understand that I have released my past, but lived in the future and resisted my present. Now I understand why I have been suffering, although I let go my past and forgave/understood everybody in it. I still have goals in my life, but now my main focus is to live in the present and from now on make choices that help me get to my goals.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A must read /listen every month, just to make sure we keep our ego/ mind on check. This content is treasure. So grateful to be alive in this times. Thank you Mr. Tolle

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A wonderful book, has much to offer to the individuals across the globe to tackle and address issues of past, present and future in a proper perspective and take life forward. A book to keep close to bedside as a reference and guide whenever one wants to read and be able to traverse the complex challenges of life more adroitly.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5On point... Now is all we have unlike past& future
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Had honestly not expected this book to be so great. Truly one of the most practical and logical spiritual books out there. Without all of the weird stuff many spiritual books have. Also not difficult to understand, but definitely not dumbed down.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A very good practical guide well explained by the author
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Knowing, understanding, owning or accepting, mindfulness, keep self calm at all times, see misfortunes as blessings in disguise, control of innerself, accept everyone's situation and always learn from it regardless of the circumstances. Live the present! It's the most important thing that we have!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Started with good audio but they i couldn't not focus and messed up my breathing because I could hear him taking quick breathes like he's running out of breath or gasping like 10 times in a minute.
Hard to be in "the now" u know - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Awakening to the notion of dying in the past every minute and surrendering to the now. I hope i can keep this going. Thank you
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Such a profound piece of literature that has the power to change your life. Best book I have ever read.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Just wow… conceptually from an ontological POV it will shift your paradigm.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Learned so much. I love how it takes the now into the next level but the dings/bells is why I give it 4 stars.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book put the whole spiritual end of thing in perspective for me I have read all of Dr Joe dispenzas books which was able to put a scientific explanation on spiritualism Which opened me up to the spiritual world I was an atheist before . I don't think this book would have done me nearly as much good if I diden't study dr Joe's books. I have learned some great information out of this book and I am looking forward to reading all of his work. If this book was confusing or you don't understand it. I encourage you to read breaking the habit of being yourself. By Dr Joe dispenza I can truly say this man has saved my life.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I would say, outdated Buddhist teaching. The author focuses too much on black and white thinking, and narrates a rather absolute position on reality. Personally, I would say its pretty average to poor quality material. Not especially good. 2 star.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5It's inspiring ? and motivational I love this one really
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A book that I would listen to daily, when I wake up and before going to bed.
Already listened to it twice by now and will listen again, so that the messages will imprint in my being. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The information is golden and life changing. Thank you Tolle!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5It was inspiring and informative. The content is very powerful.
