It felt like a young adult novel. The plot was far too obvious and didn’t seem well thought out. You could add ten chapters to this book just to flesh out the characters and give the plot some depth. On a side note, God love Jimmy Doohan, but his reading is hard to deal with. He has a far too distinctive voice for an audiobook. It was just different versions of Scotty for every character.

I thought this was a great book. Glad to find out where the probe came from.
