About this audiobook

After her promotion from law firm Runner to Investigator, Kathleen Turner is learning the ropes of her new job from none other than assassin-for-hire Kade Dennon, a situation her boyfriend Blane Kirk is none too happy about. But the lessons with Kathleen take a back seat when Kade becomes a target. Previously untouchable, his enemies now know of the chink in his armor—his brother’s girlfriend.

And Kade’s not the only thing coming between Kathleen and Blane. From Blane’s inexplicable defense of a man guilty of a horrible crime, to a mysterious stranger from Kathleen’s past, to Kathleen’s risky investigation into human traffickers, the obstacles mount against a relationship that’s just begun to find trust again.

While Blane considers a job offer that would take him back to the front lines in the war on terror, Kathleen is determined to pursue her new career, with or without his approval. Unfortunately, her current case is far more dangerous than anyone knows. Someone close to Blane will go to extreme lengths to split them up, lengths that may prove worse than death for Kathleen.

Kathleen, Blane and Kade must atone for the sins of the past and the present. The fallout will force Kathleen to a turning point…in her career, and her life.

In this third installment in the Kathleen Turner series, Kade has promoted Kathleen to investigator and she is taking her job seriously, both training and accompanying Kade to Denver on a case. While there, she is tempted by Kade, knowing that Blane doesn't trust her with why he is defending a known rapist. When her estranged cousin, Chance visits her and tells her not to share anything about him with anyone, especially Blane, she realizes that she and Blane are now keeping secrets from one another. Blane's decision to run for governor further threatens their relationship when Senator Keaton approaches Kathleen telling her she isn't good enough for him and tries to buy her off, leaving Kathleen wondering if she isn't better off leaving all of them behind.

Once again, this story is filled with overly dramatic scenes and unrealistic situations, but the tension between the characters and not knowing who Kathleen will end up with makes these books impossible to put down. Kathleen seems to find more ways to get in trouble than any one woman ever could, and gets hurt more often than is humanly possible but still keeps going almost like it's just another day at the office. Overall, this is a highly suspenseful book with nonstop action making it a very enjoyable read.

A lot of definitely cringe-worthy parts, but this series is very seriously like crack and I just can't get enough!!

The Kathleen Turner series gets better and better with the release of Turning Point; Snow's classic combination of riveting suspense and memorable romance—and the complications in life that always get in the way—doesn't disappoint with this third installment.I literally could not take my hands off the book. The plot is exhilarating and dangerous, and introduces a seedy, edgy perspective on the corruption present in modern politics as well as in the human trafficking business. In the chemistry department, Blane and Kat steam and sizzle; their developing relationship is soulful and tender, yet the attraction between them so hot. Kade and Kat, on the other hand, don't have anything physical between the two of them and somehow, they're tenfold hotter.[Warning, fangirly rant ahead!] Kade, OMFG ♥ I can't even begin to discuss my love for him. He's a sleek, lethal bastard of a character, and yet with Kat, he's finally met his match; he's finally met the girl that can bring him to his knees—and not just figuratively speaking. He realizes how Kat's relationship with Blane, his half-brother, is based off all the wrong reasons—based off the injustices of the American legal system and of the power he possesses—but also how she, in shattering his own guided heart to pieces, will become his demise. This is devastating, not just because of the love triangle between the brothers, but because of the depth of emotion Kade has only known with Kat and the inability for him to ever have her. Normally this kind of thing is too soap opera-esque for me, but in Turning Point, it's raw, emotional, and absolutely perfect.Katherine stands her moral ground, but that doesn't mean she isn't tempted. She won't admit this directly, so it's more my psychoanalytical side taking over here. It was kind of frustrating to see her be such a goody two-shoes, but this is more a reflection of my own depravity than of her characterization ;) I absolutely need to see how her relationship—or rather, strained accompaniment of—Kade, will turn out in the next book! And don't get me started on the cliffhanger regarding her situation with Blane and the law... Tiffany, we readers need more now!!!Pros: Entertaining, fast-paced action // Highly suspenseful—I read and kept reading without effort // Smoothly written; casual style // KADE DENNON // Wicked love scenes that'll make you blush // Fresh narrative voice—I love Kat's character and point of viewCons: Kat's self-control is unrealistic. How could anyone resist Kade........ . . . .Love: Just to give you a taste of how sexyjao;isdfjasdf Kade Dennon is... "F*** bullets," he rasped. "You're going to be the death of me.""I don't need you to carry me," I insisted."I need to."Jizz in my pants, he is one fictional hero I could seriously trip over!! WHY OH WYH ISn"T HE REAL?????? !!??Verdict: Tiffany Snow's newest book in the Kathleen Turner series is exactly what I look for in a romantic suspense; the breeziness in narration and remarkable characterization are impossible to put down! I consider Turning Point exemplary chick lit; it's chick-lit in killer heels—chick-lit with gunfights and fistfights, the horrors of today's most unlawful industries, and of course, sex: naughty, delicious good-girl-gone-bad sex. If you haven't already, I recommend you start this series now.Source: Complimentary copy provided by author in exchange for an honest and unbiased review (thank you!).

I went into reading Turning Point behind the curve ball so to speak. Turning Point is the third book in the Kathleen Turner Series. However, it's the first book I've read. I have to admit that I had a hard time in the beginning with the book; simply because there were references to events that happened in the first two books. I found myself confused and not really liking the book at all. I was sure that if I would have read the first two books, I would have liked this book immediately.I really wanted to read this book, so I did what I usually do as a reader when I don't understand something, I sent the author an email and asked some questions. Ahhhh.. Things started to make sense. Tiffany didn't go into great detail telling me everything that happened in the books. She merely gave me the character background information I asked for. If you've already read the other two books, please bare with me as I catch everyone else up to speed. As I suspected, Blane and Kade are half brothers with different mothers. Blane grew up with wealth and privilege, while Kade grew up in foster care being abused. Blane and Kade truly care for each other. In fact, they have stated on more than one occasion that the other is the only person they would risk their life for. You can tell that they will always have the other's back. Blane is a former Navy SEAL and partner in the law firm Kathleen works for, Kirk and Trent. He also has political aspirations and a Senator as an uncle backing him up. Kade is a former FBI agent and current gun-for-hire. Kade is very good at what he does and has made plenty of enemies. The brothers tend to work with each other on difficult cases. Kathleen, Blane and Kade have very interesting relationships with each other. Kathleen is in love with Blane, but she isn’t sure how he truly feels about her. Blane cares for Kathleen and would do anything to protect her. Kathleen and Kade each have feelings for the other, going beyond simple friendship. It seems to be just a matter of time before they end up together. Now, back to the regularly scheduled review....WOW!!!! The book description really does sum up the book. Turning Point has so many twists and turns. There are multiple plots going on within this book. In the beginning you have Kade and Kathleen doing some follow up on a lead from events taking place in the second book. You then have Blane representing someone he knows is guilty of a horrible crime. And these are just the tip of the iceberg. With Turning Point, you get everything from blackmail, assault, kidnapping, corruption, attempted-murder to murder. You don’t know who you can trust and who you can't. Everyone has their own agenda and everyone, including Kathleen, has secrets.Once I got into this book, I did not want to put it down. I got a lot more than I bargained for. While it seems Blane and Kade talk to each other somewhat consistently, they keep things to themselves and don't share information with Kathleen. While Blane and Kade have an understanding that they’re family and will be there for the other, there’s also this underlying jealousy the two have for each other. They are each jealous of the relationship Kathleen has with the other. From the beginning I was a fan of Kade, the same could not be said for Blane. Kade tends to always show up when Kathleen needs him. Not to say Blane isn’t there as well, because he is. I just feel there’s so much more going on with Blane and what little I’ve learned about him is only half of the picture.Kathleen doesn’t listen to anyone. It’s as if she likes to put herself in danger. I can NOT believe all the crap that happens to Kathleen. I mean really. You would think at some point she would just say enough is enough. She just keeps going back for more. While there are times I don’t like Kathleen or her actions, I respect her desire to always be willing to help, even if it means risking her own life. I will say that in the end my heart broke for her. Since there are so many twists and turns going on in this book, not everything gets resolved. The ending is unfreaking believeable and has me dying to read the next book in the series.Source: NetGalleyReveiwed for Read Your Writes Book Reviews
