About this audiobook

From Beth Harbison, the New York Times bestselling author of When in Doubt, Add Butter and Shoe Addicts Anonymous, comes Chose the Wrong Guy, Gave Him the Wrong Finger, a delightful new novel that will make you look at second chances in a whole new way.

Ten years ago, Quinn Barton was on her way to the altar to marry Burke Morrison, her high school sweetheart, when something derailed her. Rather, someone derailed her—the Best Man who at the last minute begged her to reconsider the marriage. He told her that Burke had been cheating on her. For a long time. Quinn, stunned, hurt, and confused, struggled with the obligation of fulfilling her guests' expectations—providing a wedding—and running for her life.

She chose running. With the Best Man. Who happened to be Burke's brother, Frank.

That relationship didn't work either. How could it, when Quinn had been engaged to, in love with, Frank's brother? Quinn opted for neither, and, instead, spends the next seventeen years working in her family's Middleburg, Virginia, bridal shop, Talk of the Gown, where she subconsciously does penance for the disservice she did to marriage.

But when the two men return to town for another wedding, old anger, hurt, and passion resurface. Just because you've traded the good guy for the bad guy for no guy doesn't mean you have to stay away from love for the rest of your life, does it? Told with Beth Harbison's flair for humor and heart, Chose the Wrong Guy will keep you guessing and make you believe in the possibilities of love.

Ten years ago, Quinn Barton nearly walked down the aisle to marry her high school boyfriend, Burke Morrison. That is until Burke's brother, Frank, told her that Burke had cheated. Now, Quinn remains haunted by the shattered pieces of her romantic life. Not that she's unhappy with her life, running a custom wedding dress business and sharing wine and cheese with her best friend, who works next door. But when Burke and Frank come back to town for a big family event, Quinn realizes she still needs to deal with the feelings from ten years ago that never went away.An enjoyable fluffy romance with plenty of swoony moments and dashes of humour throughout. While Quinn can be a bit irritating with her refusal to let go of her past, watching her rediscover who she is and what she really wants was worth it. I also loved her gay best friend, Glenn, who runs the specialty wine and cheese shop next door. If you like these kinds of romances, this one won't disappoint.

I have not had time to read (listen) to as many digital books lately, with so many good advanced reading copies; however, had a lot of driving to do, so popped in Beth’s “Chose the Wrong Guy, Gave Him the Wrong Finger, “, as hey, the title alone can make you laugh! I always loved Orlagh Cassidy (from David Baldacci’s books), the narrator so a nice combination for some mindless kicks while driving.

My favorite part--when Dottie (the grandmother) of Burke and Frank is getting married. Of course Quinn owns a bridal shop and what a history with these two guys.

A chick lit about a gal who is about to get married, and the age old problem of unfaithfulness surfaces, with lots of surprises, humor, and twists along the way and second chances for love.

This book just got on my nerves. I felt that the main character was obsessive. She needed to get out of her small town and take some chances. If not for her gay best friend, she wouldn't have. Did like the ending though.

A book given to me by a friend who thought it "cute". Obviously tastes differ. I read about half way, then skim read to the end. Nope. Not for this gal. Even the cover/title made me cringe. I had to take it off while reading.

A light and enjoyable chick-lit novel. It doesn't stray too far from the standard formula - a likeable heroine who can't get over the wrong guy, even though the right guy is there the whole time. It even has the obligatory sassy gay friend to add the necessary humor. Fans of the genre will love it.

Harbison, Beth. Chose the Wrong Guy, Gave Him the Wrong Finger. 7 CDs. unabridged. Macmillan Audio. 2013. ISBN 9781427230843. $34.99.New York Times bestselling romance author, Beth Harbison, brings every girl's worst nightmare to life. On the happiest day of Quinn Barton's life, her wedding day, she discovers that her husband to be has been cheating on her. Quinn flees the scene and spends the next ten years hiding from the memories of her failed romance in, ironically, a wedding dress boutique, spending her life helping other young women live the dream that she never got to. When her ex-fiance returns to town, predictably Quinn's life is turned upside down. There isn't much intrigue or excitement, but it is a very truthful account of heartbreak and the hope for love and redemption. Read by talented voice and television actress, Orlagh Cassidy, who gives the characters heart, depth, and fantastic southern accents. Perfect for fans of mindless romance, a great beach read. - Erin Cataldi, Franklin College, Franklin, IN

I received a free copy of this book through Goodreads First Reads. This book is about a woman named Quinn who is told by the best man, Frank, at her wedding that her soon to be husband, aka his brother, is cheating on her. She calls off the wedding immediately, leaves for Vegas with Frank, and then pushes him away. Fast forward ten years through which she hasn't talked to either man and instead, has remained single and working as a wedding dress maker. When the brothers' grandmother comes to her with news of her own wedding, the two men are now back in town. This was a humorous, fun, and even touching read. Quinn has incredible character development throughout the novel, and she has a very relatable personality. She has her weak moments, but never becomes annoying, and she has her strong moments, where you want to applaud her. I would probably categorize this as 'chick lit', but I think people who aren't a fan of the genre could enjoy it as well. Quinn is easily lovable, and it doesn't take long to get interested in her story. A very solid 4/5 stars. I know the author has written other books, and I will definitely be reading more of her work.
