About this audiobook
Building off the world first seen in Bob Mayer’s Area 51 novels, the Nightstalkers series explores a new covert force dedicated to moving unseen in their fight against the unknown.
A little truth is a dangerous thing.
A lot could kill us all.
The Nightstalkers are back, and the world needs them now more than ever.
When a real-life truth serum, an unauthorized military cabal, and the nuclear football—which contains the authorization the President needs to launch the nation’s missiles—all converge, the Nightstalkers suit up for another deadly job. Joining forces with the Cellar, the covert world’s police force, the team might be mankind’s last hope.
With the President infected by an out-of-control pathogen, the Nightstalkers’ primary mission becomes finding a hidden stash of nuclear missiles before a secret group can launch a pre-emptive strike against America’s enemies. Because a rogue general has taken control of the operation center beneath the White House, and all hell’s about to break loose.
The Book of Truths builds and builds before roaring to a breathless showdown that could mean the beginning of the end for everyone.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Cold war intrigue with factual references tying together the action. If you like military action with classical hard case military actors who seek heroic action to measure themselves against each other and enjoy blowing things up and shooting at things, this book is for you. Characters recruited from various military sources and trained for special forces type activities, they ease the tension of deployment with humor and off the wall betting on the outcome of operations. If you have a good sense of the political activities during the cold war, you will recognize the actors and be surprised at their involvement in world affairs. A good test for those aspiring to be clandestine operators for your government or those just wanting to know who the players are and what the level of involvement is of major international players. Lots of high level testosterone action with those military and political types that frequently act from this platform. Enjoyable story with political activities that call into question the trust we allow our military and political leaders. Reading and thinking through the stated and implied actions may be a reason for changing your political affiliations.Certainly the control of our nuclear arsenal leaves a lot of open questions. Who's really in control????
