About this audiobook
Photographer Cat Cochran has been to exotic places most people only dream about—but all she wants to do is settle down and get her life in order. One last assignment and she can put her past behind her. But first she must photograph the mysterious and elusive ship designer T.H. Danvers and his awesome creations.
Travis Danvers is dangerous—a millionaire with an athlete's body; an enigmatic charmer capable of breaking down Cat's well-constructed defenses with a buccaneer's arrogance and flourish. She knows she must resist him, for experience has taught her that pain is the eventual price of pleasure to be found in the arms of such a man. But caught in the waves of a sensual sea, Cat hears a siren whisper seductively, telling her to abandon all caution; to ride with Travis on the winds of forever.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5So I've been on a romance novel stint lately as the public library has plenty of them as downloadable MP3's. I'm moving and need something to listen to while packing and cleaning the house in preparation. This is one of the best that I have listened to so far. The author writes more than just a great romance. Her characters are more than just fluff and this story has more grit to it than others I have listened to. I did find the narrators voice for Travis Danvers a little irritating but was able to cope. This brought me to tears a couple of times. Highly recommend!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is without question my favorite book of all time. I've read it so many times its beginning to fall apart yet I can't bear to replace it. There are so many elements to the story, romance (of course), having the strength to move beyond your past, the pain/blessings of seeing the world differently, all of it mixed with the nitty gritty of day to day life.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Photographer Cat Cochran trusted once and was badly burned. Now she takes pictures and concentrates on January, when she'll finally be free from the financial obligations her family has saddled her with.Millionaire ship designer Travis Danvers doesn't trust women. His relationships are strictly business, whether they're negotiated for pleasure or financial gain. And when he meets Cat, he's expecting nothing less than her compliance with his usual program. Lowell's created a lovely character in Cat. Travis is more than occasionally annoying, but setting that aside, the biggest hole in this story is Cat's family - they don't appear expect as a plot device, which is a bit unbelievable given the rest of the premise. That aside, a powerfully written story great for an afternoon curl-up.
