Great read and the love between this couple was put to test again and again. Each time she came on top over for every painful caused that was caused by her own husband and love of all time. He absolutely took advantage of her treated her with mistrust and betrayed over and over again at the hands of the very person that should have loved her with his body, mind, and soul. Instead he used and abused her at very chance he gets until he almost succeeded in pushing her alway. After each opportunity she has given to him. His jealous kept him from seeing the truth even although she is has been a victim from day one until the end.

After the last time she has finally had it with him and she came back to London she made it her point to get the truth from her new husband who had used her to hurt her love and with the help of her father she got her freedom from this man who had stolen her life and her marriage.

After that she was set for United States to get her son from capitan John Hires. She also intendvto leave him for good because she could not take his jealous anymore and the absurdity of his painful memories and abused. This time she stood her ground letting him know that she is not putting up with him anymore.
Her father, her lady's maid, and her family pleading with her to forgive him for all the wrong.

But the hand help at her husband house that John Hires came seeking help afirad of his condition and state of mind. He and her maid said that she is now only saving and holding up her pride. No longer is she getting anything from him he has said that he is sorry and she is only protecting her pride. Now she hurting herself and her children.

She has this one time to make it right for her family and the children over her pride. She listened and after all she went out to her home to see John and she saw for herself. The condition of John and that he is ready to drink himself to death. They talked this time for really she made John see the very reason why she made her mind up. Without truth there is love and marriage for them.

This is a beautiful book and this really did portrait the marriage of this couple and the over controlling man and jealous of a husband. Including the pain his jealous caused much pain brought on throughout their kidnapping journey.

Love this writer work and the storyline her work is extremely good.
