- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Fun to read!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I Loved the ending but my goddness how I wanted to kill Mia!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5She whines too much not the narrator but Mia ??♀️
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I still find Lilly to be a bit abrasive for my liking, but she did end up redeeming herself a bit at the end of this book. I hope for her to continue to become more likeable as the series progresses. I enjoyed the drama surrounding the Kenny and Michael situation and meeting another relative of Mia's in Sebastiano. I also truly enjoyed seeing a more compassionate side of Grandmere.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Yes! This book was the one I was waiting for. Mia finally starts to show us who she really is - strong, courageous, and honest. Grandmere takes a stand in the wrong way but with the exactly right intentions. And Mia's friends are more than just props; they become people. This book is written through the eyes of a young woman coming to grips with reality, shedding her naivete, and blossoming into adulthood. About damn time.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This was probably my favorite in the series so far. Mia truly came into her own in this book. She stands up for herself with her peers as well as Clarice. I also like the bonding moment between grandmother and granddaughter. A lot of wonderful elements in this one!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Another Light read. Perfect book if you feel real low!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I love these books. I just can't get enough of Mia's geeky/outcast friends and how much she obsesses over the most ridiculous things. These books never fail to get some LOLs out of me.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5As I said for the review of the last book, I consider the first three Princess Diaries books to be a mini-trilogy in themselves. Princess in Love has to be one of my favorite entries in the whole series. (Because I can be a total girl sometimes.) This is the first time in the series where you see Mia as a flawed character, in her unintentional leading-on of Kenny, as well as her being able to stand up for herself with more confidence. I’m not a huge fan of the extended Renaldo family, particularly the introduction of Sebastino, as he seems to serve his purpose and then disappears for a few books. But the end still gets to me, and I can’t help but have my heart soar reading the last entry in this book. (Again, total girl.) This is another of those books that’s just pure fun from beginning to end.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Fun and fluffy, and Anne Hathaway's reading does add something to the audiobook. Sure, it's horrifically stereotypical teen problems and longing set to the backdrop of being a princess in new york, but... if you didn't want that, why are you reading volume 3 of the princess diaries?
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5The story continues in Princess in Love, as Mia prepares to take her first official trip to Genovia, she must also pass her finals, find a date to the non-denomination winter dance, and find a way to break up with her boyfriend who she is not actually in love with.As with the first novel, I thoroughly enjoyed Mia's voice as she wrote in her diary, as well as the little extra tidbits she throws in, such as copies of the entries she wrote for her English journal (that she had to turn in!) and Lilly's rejected English paper proposal. The only thing I'm not enjoying in these novels is the character of Lilly. I know she's supposed to be out there and annoying, but her character really grates on me.Can't wait to read the next book and see how Mia's trip to Genovia went!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I'm going through a patch where this kind of simple reading is about all I want to tackle. Perfect escapism, sweetly silly
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The third book of the princess series. Mia finally got what she's been waiting fo her whole life. A boyfriend. The problem is, she doesn't even like him. Sure he's nice but Kenny is just not Mia's type. Mia sends Michael (her best friend's brother) love notes. After the final exams, Mia finds herself crying and Kenny breaks up with her. Mia doesn't want to go to the Christmas dance but her grandmother forced her to. There, Mia finds out that Michael likes her and they become the new couple. Christmas break is coming and now she has to go to Genovia for the break. One thing I don't understand is that Mia finally gets what she's been trying to get her whole life and now all she wants to do is get rid of what she has. Mia is very emotional in this book. Her grandmother certainly isn't helping (like always). Is Mia just ruining her life?
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The good thing about these books? They're a fast read. I still don't like the series, but it's so successful, there is obviously something here that people enjoy. I'm hoping it gets better, but I always feel like clobbering Mia for being so annoying and weird (and not in the good way).
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Well Mia has a new set of problems to deal with. Before she could never get a boyfriend. And in this volume, she ends up with a boyfriend.. but the problem is that she doesn't like him. She ends up going out with Kenny, her Bio partner, instead of coming clean and telling the truth that she's actually in love with Michael. Despite feeling a bit sorry for Kenny, who proclaims his love a few times, it's a little funny and amusing to watch these characters dance around one another. And I was so glad when Mia finally go her happy ending. At the end of this one, there seems to be a tone of conclusion but you know that there isn't since there are still so many volumes after this and she still hasn't gone back to Genovia- which is the next volume I believe. I realized that these volumes don't really cover a lot of time. About a month each volume in Mia's life. Usually, I would find books like that a little tedious because it seems like the author is just dragging it out... but in this case, I barely noticed it because I was just so eager to read about Mia and her disasters and problems. Well, fans of this series (who are as behind in the game as me) won't be disappointed. And newcomers, get on board!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Mia can be a little bit annoying,, especially when she puts things off, but I remember the intensity of my feelings in high school, and I can really feel for her. Actually, listening to this makes me feel a bit guilty about I few things I did when I was the same age - watching Mia do the same things lets me see it from the other people's point of view! While the story is primarily a romance, I really like the way that Mia, while thinking about her Michael 24/7, remains an individual, she's more than her romance, she's got a rounded life, and doesn't just identify herself by her crush. There's a lovely scene where she gets her algebra results that highlights what I like about this series - Mia's not just a princess, she's a very grounded girl.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5more and more princess lessons and more torture for Mia
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Why I chose this book: I am enjoying the whole series (actually all of Meg Cabot's books) !!! What I thought: I loved this book as much as the first two....and am looking forward to the rest:)
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Princess in Love was one of my favorite books. I never wanted to stop reading. I liked this book because the situation Mia is in can happen in real life.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5In this 3rd book Princess Mia has some challenges to face. 1. She is leaving for Genovia at the end of finals.2. FINALS!3. She is in love with her best friend's brother.4. And, oh, yeah, avoiding kisses from her current boyfriend!WHAT TO DO?!? Find out what her sollution is in, Meg Cabot's Princess in Love!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5It was cute. I liked it.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I find myself astonished to say that I really enjoy this series. I get all wrapped up in this teenage drama. It takes me back to when I was a teenager (minus all the princess stuff): the demands from your family, boys, friends, boys, doing what you believe in, and boys. I think that this was my favorite so far in the series.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5All princess diaries books DESERVE at least 4 stars!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This third installment of the series, the most mature and enjoyable so far, deals mainly with Mia's complicated social life and getting used to herself- as both a princess and a human being. I picked up the book and kept on reading until I was done, with no breaks, including my time on the tredmill. This is a masterpeice, which brings endearing and realistic Mia right to the heart.
