About this audiobook
They were the professionals, the men who had been toughened by combat in the mine-laden fields of Europe, in Korea, in Greece, in Indochina.
Now, in the twilight of a dying decade, they must return to the United States to forge a new type of American soldier-one to be tested on the beaches of Cuba and in a new war yet to come.…
Griffin's "writing enriched by new, fully developed characters…renders an intricately layered, epic novel of international politics.…" -Publishers Weekly

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Fourth time reading this first book in the Brotherhood of War series. It's like meeting up with an old friend you haven't seen for a while. The characters are well known to you. The story may be familiar but still absorbing. W.E.B Griffin is a master storyteller. Highly recommend to anyone who is not familiar with his work to check him out. I'm starting the next book, The Berets.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I love this series. It's a Soap opera for men
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Fourth in the series, just as exciting as the previous three. Our heroes proceed along their careers, meshed in the history of the USA during the late 50s to early 60s. Is the Army that root bound? On to number five!
