About this audiobook

Months ago, Sarah Gallagher woke from a coma with psychic abilities she couldn't control. They changed her life and cost her the man she loved. And now, someone is playing games with Sarah's mind.

It begins with Sarah's home being destroyed by fire - an act of arson that draws novelist Tucker Mackenzie into Sarah's confidence. But he has other reasons for pursuing a woman who can see what others can't. So does a mysterious enemy intent on eliminating Sarah and everyone she cares about. Because it's only a matter of time before her visions lead her and Tucker to a secret many would kill to hide. Only then will they begin to discover the scope of a terrifying conspiracy so deep and complex they can trust almost no one.

I used to love these types of books from Kay Hooper back when the books were more focused on the developing relationship and the paranormal aspects of their psychic abilities. They're now being written with more of the mystery angle with the paranormal aspect lightly teased throughout the book. Which is fine, if that's what you like.. I also liked the team aspect that was sprinkled throughout the books as the series progressed. The most recent offerings? They seem to lack that and the emotional component. They read rather dry.. and I have to push myself to finish.

4 STARSThe First Prophet is book 1 of the Bishop Files.I liked the story but it was confusing on who are the good guys and bad guys. Even with the first book read I am not totally sure of the answer.I was expecting to see more of Bishop and gang in this book than we did see.I liked the characters and thier journey they went through it should be interesting to see where the next two books reveal. Hopefully they will come out sooner than later. This was my book of the month selection. Lots of drama, action as they try and figure out who is following Sarah Gallagher around, what do they want with her. They already burned her house down and she barely made it out alive.Writer Tucker has been looking for a psychic for years to help him find someone. He really does not believe in them. In fact he has proved some were fakes. He arrives while her house is burning down and feels like he needs to watch over her when he finds out someone has been watching her and her house fire was arson.

In Hooper’s novel, Sarah Gallagher came out of a coma with psychic abilities she couldn’t control. They changed her life and ended her relationship and now someone is playing with her mind.First her home is destroyed by fire—suspected arson no less—which draws novelist Tucker Mackenzie into her confidence. Together they seek answers and find a secret most would kill to protect. An interesting addition to the A Bishop Files Novel series.

This book is the first novel in The Bishop Files series. It is an extension of the Bishop/SCU series and Hooper once again regales readers with another well-written tale.Noah Bishop begins and ends the book. The link between the opening and the conclusion is a harrowing chase involving those wishing to either kill or capture psychics and those who wish to stop the ‘other side’ from doing so. Psychic Sarah Gallagher and novelist Tucker Mackenzie are slammed smack dab into the middle of it all. Sarah and Tucker run from city to city not knowing where they’re going, only that they need to. What’s more, they don’t know who they can trust, even other psychics. And there’s one place Sarah psychically understands they must culminate their journey, if they don’t end up dead. Sarah pushes herself to the limits and finds out more about herself in a week than she knew in a lifetime. Things she didn’t even know she could do must be done if they are to stay alive. When she realizes just how strong she is, she still has to accept her new way of living. An excellent book I absolutely recommend. Even if you’ve never picked up a Hooper tale before, you’ll understand everything that happens within these pages.

A vast shadowy conspiracy is hunting psychics, either to subvert them or to kill them. After a car crash left her in a coma, Sarah developed psychic abilities. Now she is a target, on the run with her new friend Tucker. Is there anyone they can trust? And is there any way for Sarah to avoid the fate she has seen for herself?I'm rather dubious about the turn this series has taken. Although I was getting rather tired of serial killers.
