About this audiobook

It's been a year since the shark attack that took Jane's arm, and with it, everything she used to take for granted. Her dream of becoming an artist is in jeopardy, and part of her wonders if she's duty bound to "give back" by becoming a nurse. Meanwhile, her former crush, Max, reappears in her life, this time as a science tutor, and Jane's old feelings come bubbling to the surface. But Max couldn't possibly be interested in her, could he? And would Jane be better off with the cute boy from her science class, who makes it clear that he'd like to see more of Jane?

Formerly Shark Girl picks up where Kelly Bingham's artful, honest debut novel left off, following Jane as she struggles to remember who she was before she was Shark Girl-and to figure out who she is now.

Inspiring, hope, amazing is all of the words I think of when I hear the book Formerly Shark Girl. Jane, an 18 year old went through a lot when a shark took her arm and everything she took for granted. It was hard but she made it through and is ready to start her life, even if it’s only with one arm. Jane faces hard challenges, like what profession and what guy is right for her, and it took me on an intense roller coaster ride.I could never put this book down, and that’s probably why I finished it only in a couple of days. The way the author wrote it made it fun to read because it wasn’t long huge paragraphs; it was short, sweet, and to the point. It started out slow in the beginning, but you shouldn’t stop reading it because the middle and end are a must read. I loved how this book gave such a strong message. This book taught me to never give up on what I love, even if there are obstacles in your way, and this message carries throughout the whole entire book. I recommend this book to anyone who loves a good inspirational story.

If you read Shark Girl and want and wondered what happens next this book shows you how Jane adjusted to life. Shows the struggles of what she feels she "should" do vs what she loves doing. Jane has to struggle with a more of the media.
