About this audiobook
Whenever a celebrity hurls a phone, crashes a car, or murders a spouse, crime journalist Bailey Weggins is there to cover it for the gossip magazine Buzz. Now the much-hyped television show Morgue has begun shooting in Manhattan, and just as Bailey starts reminiscing about her fling with the show’s gorgeous star, Chris Wickersham, he phones her. But Chris isn’t calling to rekindle their flame. His friend Tom, who plays a small role on the show, has gone missing, and while nobody seems to be alarmed, Chris can’t believe his friend would just take off before the show premieres.
Bailey starts to investigate Tom’s disappearance as a favor to Chris, and she soon realizes there is more going on than meets the eye. Delving deeper into the glamorous yet crazy world of TV, she finds herself in the middle of a killer story—literally—and also in the line of fire. As the missing person case gets hotter, so does the action between the sheets for Bailey—especially the moment her crush Beau Regan hits town again.
When mysterious phone calls turn ominous and it’s clear she’s being stalked, Bailey becomes determined to solve the case in less time than the length of a Hollywood marriage. Unless she unearths the truth, she could become the inspiration for Morgue’s next episode.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Kate White gets better with every book! I love this character and can't wait for the next book.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This audiobook was MUCH better than the audio for the last one. Coming back to the Bailey Weggins series is like coming home and I loved every minute of it! I didn’t figure out the mystery and I love that this series is a little bit of a take on Sex & the City, only if Carrie was a crime journalist instead of writing about dating in NYC.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Bailey Weggins is now working as a celebrity crime reporter for Buzz magazine. Chris Wickersham a model and actor that Bailey had a short fling with last winter is back in New York. It appears he'll be the star in a show called Morgue about investigators in the New York City's medical examiner's office. As Bailey is wondering if they'll run into each other, Chris calls and asks Bailey to help him find his friend Tom Fain who coincidentally also has a part in the new show but didn't show up on set as expected and now more than a week has passed. One of the many reasons I love this series is the sense of humor Bailey has been given by author Kate White. Bailey's sense of humor shines through not only in some of the moments she's talking to herself or giving herself another lecture about a guy but also in her descriptions about everything. Here are 2 of favorites from Book 5... • ...killer views of Central Park, and a floor-to-ceiling limestone fireplace that you could roast a pig in. • Locket had tied a Hermes scarf around her head and donned a pair of big round black sunglasses. In her slim yellow plants and crisp white blouse with three-quarter sleeves, she looked as if she were attempting to channel Jackie-O. Anyone that likes a combination of mystery, crime, and romance all against the backdrop of Manhattan (New York) will enjoy this series!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Fun read in the Bailey Weggins series. This time an actor friend asks her to help in the disappearance of a another actor. She gets involved with actors and stalkers in revealing what happened to the missing friend after discovering his body.
