About this audiobook
In the tradition of the #1 best-seller SeinLanguage, Bantam Books proudly presents the first book by Paul Reiser, television’s sharpest, funniest observer of love, marriage and other mysteries of life. A veteran comic performer, Reiser is best-known as the co-creator and star of the highly-rated NBC comedy, Mad About You, which Time magazine called “The season’s best new sitcom” in its 1992 debut. Every Thursday night more than twenty million viewers watch as Paul Reiser reveals the most intimate and hilarious scenes of a marriage. Now for the first time, Reiser brings his trademark wit to the page in a book that will delight his eagerly-awaiting audience, and anyone else who has ever fallen in love — or tried not to. In Couplehood, a New York Times bestseller for more than 40 weeks, Reiser reflects on what it means to be half of a couple — everything from the science of hand holding, to the technique of tag-team storytelling, to the politics of food and why it always seems to come down to chicken or fish.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Since being in a relationship again, this was an amusing book to read. Paul Reiser's humor carries over into likely any serious relationship. Not only because it is written by a funny man, but because -- as couples -- we are all funny in some way. Sometimes we just don't know it. Read this book over a period of time having coffee in the morning. Yes, it was light reading, but I always had a smile afterwards.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5A quick read, a funny read. If you are familiar with Reiser, his voice will likely resonate in your head during the entire reading. And actually that's a good thing, some of his phraseology and sentence constructs would drive a reader nuts if they could not "hear" them articulated in Reiser's delivery. Worth an afternoon.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This is a good book overall. I can just picture Paul Reiser reciting this book word for word in his stand-up routine. He is very funny. It is also a very easy read. With the time allotted me (an hour here an hour there) I was able to polish it off in about 3 days.
Flyinfox - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Read this in college and laughed out loud. Loved it so much I bought the audio cassettes so I could hear the stories in Paul's voice.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5At some points in this book - I was laughing so hard that I was crying. Just hysterical if you've ever been in even a semi-serious relationship.
