- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I really enjoyed the relationship in this book. Courtship and flirtations to get into a relationship have their own place, but there's something just truly adorable and often overlooked about two people being silly and sweet while already in one. There's still plenty of the first here, but it's nice having more than the epilogue to enjoy their bond!
2nd read- This is a nice balance between the characters each working on their own thing, and also still spending most of the book interacting with each other. The heroine is a bit naive despite her unconventional, in some ways worldly, upbringing, but she's also a very sensible character. She plans, she weighs her options, she's willing to compromise when necessary, and I really like that about her. This sets the Duke up well to be the hero in the next book. And this time I felt kinda touched by the ending. - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5good story but too long
