Another entertaining adventure in the crazy life of Ed Eagle. Not high literature by any means, but fun.

powerful lawyer Ed Eagle is drugged by his wife ---who also has cleaned out his acct and gone AWOL and gone to Mexico. She tries to kill him along the way and even more fun ensues. What a total bitch huh? He doesn't want her killed however! Really exciting read.

It is a quick read and fast moving....enjoyable book. But, like all books by Stuart Woods, you can't write about the town in a three day visit. For example, Ed Eagle's new office is in a Santa Fe skyscraper--there are no skyscrapers in Santa Fe. That said, the chase after Ed's estranged wife is a fun read....

Quick and easy read, worth an hour or so on a sunny beach.

Stuart Woods always gives just what you expect out of his books. Short Straw is like the other novels by Woods. Suspenseful, but not so that you wind up feeling too tense upon reading the novel.

Not a Stone Barrington novel. This is a new series about a lawyer and his seedy clients and the shady private detectives that work for him. Starts off with his wife taking off to Mexico after emptying his bank accounts. It takes two detectives to track her down and meanwhile his court appointed client turns the tables on him after he's acquitted.
