About this audiobook
Elliot's life has been spinning out of control. He would give anything to get back to normal. Now, at his new school, he has a chance to reinvent himself. He will make himself so cook, so out of reach, that no one will hurt him ever again. The plan succeeds beyond his wildest dreams. And then beyond his wildest nightmare.
Elliot is noticed by the Guardians, the mysterious, manipulative group who run the school according to their own very special rules. They want him to become one of them. For the first time, Elliot has power. But power comes at a terrible price, and Elliot faces an impossible choice when he has to decide how to use it.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This was a very interesting book ala 'The Chocolate Wars". I really liked the protagonist. Thoughtfully written.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Elliot transfers into an exclusive private school, determined to put his dark past behind him. Things are not as they seem at Holminster High and the boy who was once ridiculed and tormented by his peers is suddenly offered the chance to see life from the other side of the fence and be one of the Guardians—a group of boys who keep the other students in line. An interesting and sometimes disturbing look at how a person can re-invent himself given the proper motivation.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5About a boy who was a school bully victim who moves, changes, becomes a bully and has more than one life to live.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5not much action yet had an interesting climax and plot...reccommend to avid readers
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5If you are looking for a comedy, this is not a good book. Inventing Elliot is a book about a kid and the problems going on with his family. It is very interesting and I enjoyed reading this very much! INVENTING ELLIOT!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5With similar themes as The Chocolate War by Robert Cormier, Inventing Elliot is about a teenage boy who is sick of being picked on and wants nothing more than to blend into the background. When he moves to a new school Elliot decides to change his image hoping he will go unnoticed by the Guardians, a secret society that runs the school. Instead of being on the receiving end of the Guardians' cruelty, Elliot is asked to join them. A disturbing look at the social dynamics of high school, Inventing Elliot shows the lengths a teen will go to in order to avoid being tormented and labeled an outcast.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5boy reinvents himself at new school after suffering severe bullying, wishes to be accepted and is accepted but by the ruling gang at the school, will be go along with their horrifying regime?
