      I was impressed. We've recounted the same events at the beginning first with Auron in book 1, then Wistala in book 2, and finally the Copper in this book. I'm going to tell you though, I was at the end of my rope with hearing the same story retold at the beginning, I was almost burnt out because I thought it wouldn't add to the story that much, but I was wrong. The Copper faces considerable adversity compared to his siblings lives even after the egg shelf, towards a society that mirrors the beginnings of Silverhigh. Although, it was not without its drawbacks; from chapters 11 through 20 the book slows down to establish this new environment but it contains a lot of political minutia that, at first, almost compares to filler, but it all ties up brilliantly in the end where our underdog dragon earns his own marked by the gradual disappearance of his lisp into true drakehood! And trust me, that was a relief, halfway through the book I almost couldn't bear the narrator being so faithful with supporting the lisp until I truly saw that it was a device designed as a means of marking the Copper's true progression.
