An estimated 20 million people miss between one and three days of work each week because of severe, chronic, debilitating insomnia. - Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Narration: 3/5 -- I have no strong opinions either way
Writing: 3/5 -- Written by an entrepreneur-author, not a medical doctor.
Content: 2/5 -- Nothing I couldn't learn elsewhere faster or better. And this book was published in 1993. Hasn't sleep science has learned a lot since then?
Comments: The author toots his own horn a lot, especially at the beginning. I was very disappointed because the first two sections (forward and preface) are written by credentialed medical sleep specialists. Follows a layman's opinion. But there was some unintended humour... "I was involved in 15 auto accidents due to falling asleep at the wheel... My mother, a registered nurse, became convinced that I had sleep narcolepsy." Petty criticism of mine -- The author misunderstands what the 'sangha' is in Buddhism.
