      Excellent advice on giving speeches. Jack Valenti has experience with speaking at the highest level - presidential speeches. He provides practical advice on thinking through what you want to say "thought, theme, mood." He advises for brevity - leaving out any unneeded information. He also states that preparation is necessary to the point of nearly memorizing the speech.
