      Kerrelyn Sparks does it again! Sexiest Vampire Alive is a great addition to the Love At Stake series.The top-secret existence of vampires has gotten leaked to the public, and now vampires are in fear of being hunted by humans. Head-Honcho Vampire Roman, along with McKay S&I, have entrusted harmless, bottle-fed Gregori with convincing the government that vampires are not a threat to humans. Gregori also has to convince the government that an alliance with the vampires will benefit both sides, but first the vamps want the leaked video to be declared a hoax to keep their existence safe.Abby, a scientist, has chosen not to share the spotlight with her President father. She would much rather work long hours in a lab trying to find a cure for her dying mother.We've been waiting to see womanizer/playboy Gregori find a woman he can settle down with--only the woman he wants happens to be the daughter of the President of the United States.This was definitely a fun, easy read! I can't wait for the next installment in the Love At Stake series!

      This woman is good with the female, but not so hot with males, especially attempting the accents.

      One of my friends acted appalled that I thought she might enjoy these books, she took one like at the cover and said "No! I'd never read that." At first I was annoyed, but it only took a few seconds to realize she is cheating herself out of fun fantasy romance fiction. So, who cares, she is the one missing out not me.

      Sexiest Vampire Alive by Kerrelyn SparksBook 10 of the Love at Stake series. Paranormal vampire romance. Can be read as a stand-alone however there is an overall arc storyline that progresses through the books. Vampires exist and the world now knows it thanks to a video of Gregori. The White House President arranges for his daughter to work with the vampire and she can’t resist the hottie. Amusing Insta love story as the whole series is. The 15 minute mind wiping goes awry in this story and it’s funny the gymnastics that follow as the heroine questions pieces from her missing time. Passion, danger and a smidge of politics.

      I was happy to finally get to Gregori's book. Trust seems to be the main theme as we go through his story. I love how he finally learns to trust, at the same time as Abby finally learns to trust.
      We've got the US Government involved now and I can't help but wonder how that will all play out.
      Interesting to see how much of a jerk Sean still is, I wonder if he will change a bit now that his wife knows what he's done. It will be interesting to see if that is addressed in future books.

      I have enjoyed this series from the start. It is always a pleasure to visit with this group, and Gregori's book is no different.

      Good paranormal story with plenty of humor and an exciting ending. I particularly liked how the relationship developed incorporating the issue of trust. Vampire Gregori is trying to build an alliance with the government and is instantly attracted to the presidents daughter Abby.

      This started with some steam, chugged along for a while, and then fell off a cliff. I've loved some of the others in this series as fun reads, but this unfortunately underwhelmed me.

      An enjoyable cozy. Adds a little to the storyline; sets up new conflicts. You know the CIA and military are not going to be able to keep their hands off the new possibilities the vamps present.

      I adore the "Love At Stake" series by Kerrelyn Sparks. I love Urban Fantasy and YA paranormal but I have always been hit or miss with paranormal romance. I find a lot of the sounds identical to the others except with a change of hair color and hero/heroine names. That is not the case with "Love At Stake" novels. Ms. Sparks has built a wonderful world and populates it will funny, adorable, and endearing characters. The nice thing is she also has the series progress. Some of our favorites from the first books have moved on to having children. Foes have been defeated and new foes are appearing. Nothing in this world stays stagnant. Sure if you pick up one of these books you automatically know that they guy is going to get the girl, that is a given. But it just doesn't matter because the fun is getting there. The fun is visiting with out vamp and shifter friends again with each new installment. The fun is guessing which characters are going to be highlighted in the next book. "Sexiest Vampire Alive" features Gregori who has been around since the very first book. Gregori is a young, vampire playboy. When he meets the daughter of the president he knows he may be hanging up his playboy ways for good. Gregori wants to work out a deal with the President where the President will deny to the world the existence of vampires and in return Gregori will help Abby travel abroad on her own dangerous mission. I liked both Gregori and Abby and I can't wait to see them ingrained further into the series as a couple. The romance was cute and full of nice one liners.I have to say that we are also introduced to some more new characters and with each one I wonder if we will see them starring in a book later on. I am still very hopeful that we can find out more about Russell (a dangling plot thread at the end of this book) and I want Pheneas and Howard to get their own Happily Ever Afters one day. This book was at least as good as all the others. I commend Ms. Sparks for writing a series that I still move straight to the top of my large TBR pile with each new release. Comment | Permalink

      Despite having this series on my wish list for a while I had yet to read any of the titles so when this book was offered for review I thought it would be the perfect chance to give it a try. Sexiest Vampire Alive is the 11th book in the long running Love at Stake paranormal romance series. While there is consistency through the series with an overall story arc and inter related characters, each individual book features a new couple so I found Sexiest Vampire Alive worked just fine as a stand alone novel, though I am sure the back story would make it a richer experience.Truthfully, the plot is a little silly but it does work within the framework of the story with a mix of romance, danger and excitement. The story flows nicely and I enjoyed the sense of humor, Sparks writing style is very readable.It's the relationship that develops between Gregori and Abigail that is center stage and I was quite happy to embrace the fantasy. There are the usual back and forth scenarios as the pair try to fight their overwhelming attraction to each other, a misunderstanding or two to keep things interesting and some spicy encounters but it all ends in a happily ever after which is pleasantly satisfying.Sexiest Vampire Alive doesn't pretend to be anything other than a light, fun romantic read and as such I found it enjoyable. I can see why the Love at Stake series is so popular among paranormal romance fans and I plan to read more of the titles when I need a bit of escapism.

      Vampires live! And it is up to one of the youngest to help the human government assimilate that information. Now it is up to Gregori Holstein to either prove that the video showing vampires at their worst is a hoax or to persuade that Vampires are not the bad guys humans think they are. Everyone thinks that Gregori is a playboy, that is until he meets the nerdish seeming presidents daughter Abby Tucker. Abby has been trying to find a way to save her mother’s life and she and her father soon come to realize that having a Vampire at your back may be one sure way of getting what you want without getting caught. What a perfect way of killing two birds with one stone. Vampires can come “out” with the White House’s backing and Abby can travel to dangerous parts of the world with Gregori without other governments knowing it. However, what Gregori and Abby never foresaw was their attraction to each other and that sure does complicate things.A welcome addition to the series and one of the best. Although if you are tired of the over brooding, inner dialoguing, self-recriminating dark protagonists and the women who try to love them, you may want to go elsewhere.
