A Deliberately Short, Excellent Addition to the "In Death" series.
Numbered as #7.5 in the series, this story was originally published as one of four novellas in "Silent Night, Stories of Romance and Suspense".
It is roughly about 100 pages long and the reason for the shortness of this audio book.

The book takes place immediately after Christmas in "Holiday in Death", and before New Yeasr's.
All the favorite characters are present, focused on capturing an escaped serial killer serving multiple life sentences Eve had caught and thrown into a cage a few years earlier.
The killer is quickly exacting his revenge on those who had a part in his sentencing, the judge, the attorney, the psychiatrist, working his way towards the cop who stopped him, Eve.
The snappy snark, the steamy sex, the scintillating suspense this series is known for, does not disappoint.

Short and to the point, but oh so good!

Intense from the get-go this book doesn't stop. It's personal this time so it really pulls on the emotional strings. Then ends on a deeply satisfying, "Hell yeah!".

Had previously listened to all of the "In death" series and I absolutely love them! This is one of the short ones but still good!

This book is entertaining and I did enjoy every part of the investigation and policing of the victims and the leg work that was done by the detectives and police team works. All that was contributing toward the end of good detectives job.

The story was fine and all, but it felt like we skipped the half of the book in which the villain is identified and cut right to the finishing chase.

The Author has done it again. The Narrator is also excellent.

I found this book to be funny, but not as good as the full length novels. Many of my favorite characters were back (Peabody, Roarke, Mira, Feeney) but not so many that I was overwhelmed for such a short work. My big complaint would be that this one was not a mystery, as we knew who the bad guy was, it was just a matter of catching him. Still, a fun and enjoyable read.

This is basically a normal In Death book without the relationship sub-plots. It takes place immediately after Holiday in Death. I liked it as well as the other In Death books, but the bad guy was a little too easy to kill in the end.

I love Eve Dallas, and wish she a Roake real people. J.D. ROBB is bad and that is as good as you can get!

Eve had brought down David Palmer years ago, he's back and he wants to take revenge on the people who put him in jail.A nice teaser and good introduction to the series I would recommend it to people curious but unsure if they want to read a whole one. Complete in itself it's a decent read.

I liked that Dr.Myra played a role in this book.
