SCANDI WITH A TWIST
In Scandinavian crafted furniture and interior design, natural oak and blonde timbers are the traditional choices. However, Janine Sorensen from Danish Red says dark timber is making a bold comeback. “We are seeing walnut and especially smoked oak for tables, chairs and storage furniture,” she says. But Janine is also quick to point out that doesn’t mean the more traditional Scandinavian oak is going out of favour any time soon.
Designers are incorporating both,
