The Planet Smashers Too Much Information (Stomp)

t’s always a treat to hear something from a band that carries it’s influences on display, but manages to transcend them to become something newer. For 25 years The Planet Smashers have proudly carried their version of the 2-Tone sound flag across Canada, then the US, into Europe and beyond. Along the way they’ve become one of the great names of the genre, adding a twist of their own to the classic, bouncy keys and brass-laden origins much loved by ska fans. In that time, is usually pretty straightforward and, in this case, particularly worthwhile.
