DO YOU FLY SAFELY?

You and your aircraft are flying safely? The question may seem impertinent, but should be asked for reflection of who flies. A professional pilot, flying for a commercial aviation regular airline, (that s ells tickets), is continuously exercising skills and knowledge inside an aircraft. Refresher courses, training in simulators, proficiency checkups… all this is part of the routine of an aeronaut by profession, and not only for a question of survival, but also, for the preservation of the job, the career and the professional dignity itself.

OWN AIRCRAFT

But when pilots practice another profession and fly their own aircraft for pleasure or need? Are they periodically retraining, training in a simulator, undergoing evaluations? The mandatory checkups do not evaluate all the possibilities, all the necessary knowledge to prevent the pleasure of flying from going together with high risk rates.

It would be unfair to say that any pilot flying his own aircraft is placed at risk. Absolutely, it is not about this. But it is possible to say that, in fact, training in most cases is inadequate in the general aviation, including small
