19.5 sts by 26 rows over St st on 4.50mm needles to 10cm

Special abbreviations

3/3 RC - Slip 3 sts onto cable needle and hold at back of work, knit next 3 sts from left hand needle, then knit 3 sts from cable needle.

3/3 LC - Slip 3 sts onto cable needle and hold at front of work, knit next 3 sts from left hand needle, then knit 3 sts from cable needle.

sssk - Slip 3 sts individually knitwise to RH needle, knit the 3 slipped sts together from left to right (dec 2 sts) Kfbf - Knit into front, back and front of knit stitch (increases 2 sts)

MEASUREMENTS

STITCH GUIDE ONE ROW BUTTONHOLE (OVER 4 STS)

1. Bring yarn to front, slip 1 stitch purlwise, bring yarn to back.

2. Slip 1 stitch purlwise, pass the first slipped stitch over the second. (Repeat this part 2 more times, passing over 3 stitches total). Place the last stitch back on left hand needle.

Turn work.

3. With yarn in back, cast
