Let it go

LETTING GO SO QUILTING CAN WORK ITS MAGIC

“One of my favourite things about quilting is the state of creative fl ow you encounter when you’re in the middle of a project you love. Concentrating on piecing a block and what step comes next helps me to ‘let it go’, whatever ‘it’ might be for me that day. Often when I am weighed down with daily concerns, I use quilting as therapy to help still my mind and gain greater clarity and perspective. I pieced this quilt after having one of ‘those’ days, and by the time it was fi nished, I didn’t have a care in the world.” – Samantha Dorn
