David Haugh: First glimpse of Mitch Trubisky a good reminder that nobody has more to prove in 2018

CHICAGO - Overreaction to the Bears preseason annually falls between funny and frustrating in Chicago, with the middle ground typically vacant and light traffic for those who take the high road.

And so it was Thursday night after our first glimpse of quarterback Mitch Trubisky and the offense with the new-car smell. In eight snaps, the Bears netted negative yardage. Trubisky went 2-for-4, acceptable if he were batting third for the Cubs but not when dropping back for the Bears.
